User Research Mentoring

Teams often want to include people with disabilities in research but aren’t always sure how to do it consistently and effectively. Our User Research Mentoring service removes those barriers, helping your researchers build the capability to plan and run inclusive research as part of their day-to-day work, without relying on specialist support.

What we'll do

We begin by understanding your researchers and their current ways of working. We then combine training, mentoring, and guided research sessions with disabled participants to help them confidently plan, facilitate, and analyse research. Throughout the programme, researchers work alongside our experienced Accessibility Specialists receiving practical guidance and feedback that helps them build inclusive research practices they can apply independently.

The programme combines practical experience with structured support to help you build capability that lasts. This includes:

  • Inclusive research knowledge and skills: training, mentoring, and practical guidance on planning, facilitating, and analysing research with disabled participants
  • Guided research sessions with disabled participants: practice research sessions that help researchers apply what they’ve learned, gain confidence, and refine their approach with expert feedback
  • Sustainable research practices: recommendations for improving research tools, materials, and processes, supported by roadmaps and checklists that make inclusive research easier to repeat consistently
