Ian Lloyd
Ian (or 'Lloydi' as he prefers) is a Principal Accessibility Specialist. He specialises in accessibility testing for web, mobile, and native desktop apps.
Lloydi comes from a web development background. He puts that technical knowledge to use by providing bespoke solutions and prototypes for more tricky accessibility challenges, and also creates tools for diagnosing and reporting on issues that may not be immediately obvious with off-the-shelf accessibility testing tools.
He joined TetraLogical in 2025 having previously worked for TPGi as a Principal Accessibility Engineer. Prior to that, he worked for Apple as an accessibility engineer (contractor).
Ian is the author of a best-selling web development book for SitePoint, and has also contributed chapters and provided technical editing for a number of other books. He's also been involved with Web Standards and Accessibility since around 2000, is a semi-regular conference speaker and was an early participant in the Web Standards Project (WASP) as part of the Accessibility Task Force.
In an alternate universe, he continued his early path of DJ-ing and producing, he also maintains a11y-tools - a collection of accessibility-focused tools.
