Henny Swan at WebAIM conference

Henny Swan, Director at TetraLogical, will be giving a talk at the inaugural WebAIM conference today. It's a free two day virtual conference all about accessibility, and Henny will be talking about Designing for people who use a mouse.
When designing products with accessibility in mind, we tend to design, code, and test for keyboard only users. We think of people as being either a mouse user or keyboard user, with an assumption that a mouse user is not disabled, and a keyboard user is. This is a convenient generalisation that helps us frame disability and accessibility but it’s not reality. Most of us, including people with physical disabilities, have the potential to be mouse users.
Through the lens of the Inclusive Design Principles and WCAG, Henny will look at some of the common barriers mouse users experience and how to avoid them.
